Because the members and associates of the 2nd NJ Brigade are located throughout New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Delaware, the brigade headquarters mimics the historic 1860s military structure in order to ensure that events run smoothly.
Headquarters' job is to manage and organize events as well as provide field command during programs, and encourage individual unit identity. Headquarters oversees the following:
accuracy of all brigade impressions
public education through programs and reenactments
allocation of non-profit funds for brigade needs
managing reenactments
managing partnerships with other Civil War units, and/or museums, historical societies, and other organizations.
